New York Red Bulls player Allen Yanes Called in By Guatemala for Concacaf Nations League by Anthony Chinchilla

HARRISON, N.J. (September 4, 2019)- Allen Yanes has been called in by the Guatemalan National Team for the Concacaf Nations League.  

Yanes receives his third call up to the senior national team during the calendar year. The last time Yanes was with the national team, he helped the backline secure two clean sheets and started in both matches.  

Yanes has joined Guatemala ahead of the start of their Concacaf Nations League play, which begins on September 5, with kick-off set for 10 p.m. ET. Guatemala will then travel to Puerto Rico on September 10.

HARRISON, N.J. (September 10, 2018) – New York Red Bulls II defender Allen Yanes made his senior team debut for the Guatemalan National team on Friday, September 7 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in a 3-0 loss to Argentina.

In his first cap, Yanes played the first 45 minutes of the match, completing 19 of 22 passes and winning 8 of 11 challenges at right fullback.

Guatemala will face Ecuador on Tuesday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois.

Yanes will return to NYRB II following Tuesday’s match. He is not expected to be available in NYRB II’s Thursday evening match against TFC II at MSU Soccer Park.

Allen Yanes joins the New York Red Bulls II by Anthony Chinchilla

HARRISON, N.J. (July 11, 2018) – New York Red Bulls II have signed left back Allen Yanes to a USL contract, the club announced today pending league and federation approval. Yanes joins NYRB II after three seasons with Antigua Guatemala Fútbol Club.

Yanes, 21, born in Orange County, California, began with Antigua GFC in the 2015-16 season. During his tenure, Yanes tallied 63 starts, 73 appearances, 5,764 minutes played and one goal. He helped Antigua to three-straight Apertura titles in Liga Nacional de Guatemala (the highest professional division in the country).

“Allen joins us with Concacaf Champions League experience,” NYRB II head coach John Wolyniec said. “That being said, we believe Allen has a high ceiling and NYRB II will be another step along his development path. We look forward to his growth.”

Marvin Ceballos joins Carolina Railhawks of the NASL by Anthony Chinchilla

Marvin Ceballos, another 2015 NASL standout, also joins the RailHawks for the 2016 season. Ceballos, a native of Guatemala City, Guatemala, began his professional career with Liga Nacional side Comunicaciones in 2011. The explosive midfielder netted eight goals and earned 3,385 playing minutes in his three seasons with Comunicaciones.

After joining Indy Eleven in 2015, Ceballos immediately asserted himself as one of the top young midfielders in the NASL thanks to his vision and technical skillset. The 23-year-old scored two goals in his 12 appearances for Indy Eleven last season. Ceballos was the first outdoor player to net a goal for his country in a FIFA tournament when he score the game winner against Croatia in the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011, boosting his country to the knockout round. He has also appeared with Guatemala’s senior national team five times, including three caps last summer.

SkyBlue Management client Marvin Ceballos signs with Indy Eleven of the NASL by Anthony Chinchilla

INDIANAPOLIS (Tuesday, August 4, 2015) – Indy Eleven’s Fall Season signing-spree continued today with the inking of Guatemalan international midfielder Marvin Ceballos to a contract for the remainder of the 2015 NASL campaign.  Per club policy, financial terms of the contract will not be released.

Fans will be able to meet the newest member of the “Boys in Blue” on Wednesday night, as Ceballos will be the featured guest at a special Meet-and-Greet/Watch Party taking place at Chile Verde Restaurant, located at 8345 Pendleton Pike on Indianapolis’ northwest side.  The event will start at 8:30 p.m. ET in advance of Indy Eleven’s 9:00 p.m. kickoff against FC Edmonton
